Apple Halwa

Simple Halwa!!!
Ingredients

Apples: 5
Ghee: 3 Table Spoon
Sugar: 3 Table Spoon
Water: 1/4 Cup
Cinnamon Powder: 2 Pinch
Saffron: 3 - 4 strands(Optional)

Cooking Time: 25 Minutes
Method

Wash the apples and peel off the skin and dice it
Crush the saffron with little sugar and keep aside
Add ghee to a pan and add the diced apples to it
Fry it for 4-5 minutes.
Now add water and on medium flame cook the apples for 10 minutes
Mash the apples with your spoon and stir frequently. 
Now add the sugar and saffron. Continue to stir and cook till the whole mixture becomes one and starts to pull away from the bottom of the pan
Now add cinnamon powder and stir well
Keep on flame and keep stirring until oil starts to leave
Remove the pan from the fire and spread the halwa on a greased plate
Allow to cool well and then cut and serve
Note:
Increase the amount of sugar if required
You can also add some dry fruits like cashew, almonds, pistachios raisins etc
