Rainbow Cake

This Rainbow Cake recipe is easy to follow and is great for those special occasions....
Ingredients

For Cake
All purpose flour / Maida : 3 and half Cup
Powdered Sugar: 2 and half Cup
Vegetable Oil: 1 and half Cup
Egg:5
Baking Powder: 3 Tea Spoon
Vanilla Essence: 3 Tea Spoon
Milk: 1 and half Cup
Permitted Food colors: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow and Orange
For Frosting
Whipping Cream: 5 Cup
Powdered Sugar: 2 and half Cup
Vanilla Essence: 2 Tea Spoon
Sugar Syrup: 2 Cup (Boil 2 cups of water with 6 table spoon of sugar and switch off the flame.  Let it cool well and then use)

Cooking Time: 20 minutes per cake
Method

Preheat the oven at 160 C
Prepare the cake tin by spreading a little butter all around the tin and then add little flour and spread it to all sides uniformly.  Knock off the excess flour
Sieve all purpose flour and baking powder
Beat powdered sugar, vanilla essence and oil until it becomes smooth
Add eggs one by one and beat well
To this add  sieved flour mix  and milk in batches and make a smooth ribbon consistency batter
Now divide the batter equally to 7 bowls
Now give color for each cake batter (Rainbow colors VIBGYOR)
Violet - Equal abound of Blue + Red Color
Indigo - Blue color + Little Red Color
Blue - Blue Color
Green - Green Color
Yellow - Yellow Color (Or mix Red + Green Color)
Orange  - Orange Color (Or mix Red + Yellow Color)
Red - Red Color
Make colors as said above and give color for each cake batter and combine well
Pour batter to the cake tin and place in the oven
Bake at 150 C for about 20 minutes
Insert a wooden skewer in the middle and check. If it comes out clean then the cake is ready.  Do not worry about the color of the cake crust.  Once you trim the crust you can see the beautiful color inside
Once it cools a bit remove from cake tin and allow to cool well
Make all the 7 cakes in the same way
Let the cakes cool well and trim off the crust 
Frosting the cake
Pour the whipping cream to a bowl.  Add sugar and vanilla essence and beat until it becomes stiff
Now to assemble the cake
Keep all the things ready, whipped cream, sugar syrup cakes and cake decorations
Place the first layer of violet colored cake on the setting plate
Drizzle some sugar syrup on the  cake.
Put 4 to 5 table spoons of whipped cream on the cake and spread well
Now the next layer of Indigo colored cake.  Same way drizzle some sugar syrup and then spread a layer of whipped cream
Then Blue, Green , Yellow, Orange and Red colored cakes in the same order. (Drizzle sugar syrup and spread whipped cream in between each layer of cakes )
Now all your cakes has been layered
Cover the entire cake with whipped cream and keep in fridge for some time 
Decorate as per your wish.  Here i melted some chocolate and poured on top and piped some whipping cream and sprinkled some sugar pearls on top
Serve chilled

Note:
Baking time may vary depending on the oven, so adjust it accordingly
