Chicken Samosa

For Today`s Iftar...
Ingredients

Boneless Chicken: 250gms
Onion: 2
Crushed Ginger&Garlic: 1/2 Table Spoon
Green Chilly: 2
Red Chilly Powder: 1/2 Tea Spoon
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 Tea Spoon
Garam MasalaPowder: 1/2 Tea Spoon
Coriander Powder: 1/2 Tea Spoon
Pepper Powder: 1/4 Tea Spoon
Oil: 2 Table Spoon + For Deep Frying
Ready made Samosa Leaf(Or you can make it. Refer Notes)
Egg : 1
Salt
Water
Coriander Leaves

Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Method

Cook chicken adding pepper powder and salt
Once cooked chop it to small pieces and keep aside
To a pan add 2 table spoon of oil and add chopped onion to it. Saute for 2 minutes and then add crushed ginger garlic and chopped green chilly
Saute till onion becomes translucent
Reduce the flame and add red chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder and salt
Saute till the raw smell of the spices is gone
Now add cooked chicken and coriander leaves and combine well
Beat the egg and keep aside
Place one samosa leaf on a plate
Fold from right side to the bottom
Now fold to the left to cover the first fold width
A triangle shaped pocket will be formed
Fill in the chicken mixture in the pocket
Fold to close and seal the ends with egg wash
Continue the process and make all the samosa
Heat oil in a pan.  Once the oil is heated well reduce the flame to medium and deep fry the samosa till it becomes light brown in color
Drain them on to a paper towel
Serve hot with tomato sauce or coriander chutney

Note:

To make the samosa dough
Maida/All purpose flour: 1 Cup
Semolina: 3 Table Spoon
Oil: 4 Table Spoon
Water
Salt
Method
Mix maida, semolina, salt and oil.  Combine well and add water little by little and make it a smooth dough
Knead well so that the dough becomes very soft and smooth
Cover with a wet cloth and keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes
Knead the dough again and take small portions out of it and roll it to thin sheets
Cut to rectangular strips and follow the rest of the recipe
