Coconut Cookies

These cookies are so tasty that you just cant stop munching on....
Ingredients

All Purpose flour/Maida: 3/4 Cup
Dessicated Coconut: 1 Cup
Powdered Sugar: 3/4 Cup
Unsalted Butter: 3/4 Cup
Vanilla Essence 1Tea Spoon
Salt: 1 Pinch
Almonds/Cashews/Raisins : For Garnish

Cooking Time: 10 Minutes 
Method

Preheat the oven to 150 C
To a bowl add butter and powdered sugar
Beat butter and sugar until smooth
To this add all purpose flour, dessicated coconut, vanilla essence and salt
Use your hands and knead it to a smooth dough
Roll out small gooseberry sized balls out of the dough and roll it well
Arrange the cookies on a baking tray and place an almond or cahsew or raisin on each cookie ball and bake for about 8 to 10 minutes at 150 C
Remove from oven and let it cool well
Serve with tea or coffee.
Note:
While keeping the cookies for baking leave some space in between as cookies will expand while baking
Baking time my vary depending on the oven so adjust it accordingly

Tutti Frutti Cookies

A perfect snack for evening tea!!!
Ingredients

Self Raising Flour: 1¼ Cup
Powdered Sugar: 1/2 Cup
Tutti Frutti: 1/4 Cup
Butter: 1/4 Cup
Vanilla Essence: 1 Tea Spoon
Milk: 1 Table Spoon

Preparation Time: 1 Hour
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes

Beat butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy
I added few chopped cashew and raisins along with tutti frutti
To the butter sugar mixture add flour, vanilla essence, and tutti frutti mix
Combine well and form a dough.  Do not knead more, just combine and make dough.Add a table spoon of milk if required
Roll this to a log and then cover it with a cling film and keep in fridge for minimum 1 hour
After 1 hour preheat the oven at 170
Cut the cookie dough in 1 cm thick pieces
Place a butter paper on a cookie tray and place the cookies on it leaving some space in between
Bake at 170 C for 12 to 15 minutes until cookies start to become light brown in color
Take it out of the oven and let it cool completely
Once cooled well store in airtight containers

Note
Once the cookie is out of the oven it will be very soft.  So let it cool well before taking it from the baking tray
Baking time may vary depending on the oven, so adjust it accordingly

Oats Cookies ( No Butter / No Oil / No Sugar / No Egg )

For all who are on dieting!!!!
Ingredients

Oats: 1 Cup
Wheat Flour: 3 Table Spoon
Honey: 1/4 Cup
Chopped Nuts: 3 Table Spoon
Baking Powder: 1/4 Tea Spoon

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time : 20 minutes
Method

Grind the oats to a coarse powder
To this add chopped nuts, wheat flour and baking powder
Mix everything well and then add honey
Combine well and make a dough
Cover using a cling film and keep it in fridge for 10 minutes
Preheat the oven at 180C
Take small portions out of the dough and shape it and place it on a baking tray
Bake for 20 minutes at 180 C
Once the cookies are baked take it out and cool it completely
Store in air tight containers
Note:

Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies

Lets make some yummy cookies....
Ingredients

All Purpose flour/Maida: 2 Cups
Butter: 1/2 Cup (In room temperature)
Powdered Sugar: 1/2 Cup
Baking Powder: 1/2 Tea Spoon
Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips: 1/2 Cup
Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice: 4 Table Spoon
Orange Zest: 1/2 Table Spoon
Salt: 1 pinch

Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Method

Preheat the oven to 150 C
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and keep aside
In a bowl beat powdered sugar and butter until it becomes fluffy
Add orange juice, orange zest and combine well
Now add the sifted flour mix and fold in gently
Use your hands and knead it to a smooth dough
Add chocolate chips and mix well

Roll out small gooseberry sized balls out of the dough and roll it well and press it slightly with your palms
Sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top. (Optional)
Arrange the cookies on a baking tray and bake for about 8 to 10 minutes at 150 C

Remove from oven and let it cool well
Serve with tea or coffee.
