Its such a simple dish but it tastes awesome!!!
Ingredients
Buttermilk: 500 ml ( In room temperature)
Green Apple: 1
Finely Chopped Ginger: 1 Tea Spoon
Finely Chopped Green chilly: 3
Dried Red chilly: 2
Turmeric powder: ½ Tea Spoon
Mustard Seeds: ¼ Tea Spoon
Fenugreek Seeds: 1 pinch
Oil: 2 Table Spoon
Curry leaves
Salt
Cooking Time: 8 to 10 minutes
Method
To a pan pour oil add fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds
Once it splutter add dried red chilly and saute for a few seconds
Then add curry leaves, chopped green chilly and ginger and saute for a minute
Grate the apple and add it
Add turmeric powder and salt
Saute the apple for 3 to 4 minutes in low flame (Do not add water )
Now add butter milk and keep stirring until steam comes. (Do not boil)
Now switch off the flame and keep stirring for some more time
Serve with rice.
Note:
The butter milk should be at room temperature, else it will curdle
Do not grate the apple and keep for long time, as apple will change color.
