Caramel Syrup for Plum Cake / Christmas Cake

Sugar : 1/2 Cup
Hot Water : 1/4 Cup

To a sauce pan add sugar and let it caramelize in low flame.
Once the sugar is light brown in color add hot water. Let it boil for a minute and switch off the flame and let it cool well.
Store in clean and dry glass bottle and use as needed.
